Ghislaine Maxwell

Ghislaine Maxwell (born 25 December 1961[1]) is the ninth and youngest child of Robert Maxwell, the late Czechoslovakian-born British media proprietor and former Member of Parliament (MP) whose body was found floating in the sea after he fell from the luxury yacht named after his daughter, the Lady Ghislaine, in 1991.[2] She was educated at Marlborough College and Balliol College, Oxford.[1]

The French-born English-raised Maxwell is a qualified deep sea diver and is an advocate for the ocean regarding climate change, ocean acidification, and overfishing. She is a private helicopter pilot and an emergency medical technician.

She founded a successful women's club named for the original Kit-Cat Club[3] and was a director of Oxford United FC,[4] once owned by her father.[5]

Maxwell strongly denies[6] allegations of an unsavoury nature,[2][7] which have appeared in the British press and elsewhere, regarding her association with Jeffrey Epstein, and announced her intention to sue for libel.[6]
